German Extra Hardy is a porcelain, hardneck garlic variety that is a standard, hardy choice for Vermont's growing season. Edible curlicue scapes can be harvested in mid-summer. Garlic cloves are white with dark red wrappers. Moderately spicy flavor, this is an excellent variety to roast full bulbs of as well. Good long-term storage.
