Course Title: Summer Flora

Cost: $80 / person, per class

 

Join Burlington artist Annelein Beukenkamp for a full day painting watercolor flowers in the nursery gardens. This class is designed for participants with some previous watercolor experience. We will explore numerous watercolor techniques including negative painting, value control, edges, composition and many others. Painting outside “en plein air” is a great way to observe directly from nature to capture blossoms and blooms in a direct and colorful manner. Annelein will demonstrate her technique in the morning and offer extensive personal attention throughout the day that will end with a group discussion of works created.

 

Participants will need to bring their own supplies. A suggested supply list will be provided.  The same class is offered on two different dates. Each class is limited to 12 participants.

About the Instructor: Annelein Beukenkamp has been painting with watercolors for 3 decades and shows her work extensively in galleries, juried and invitational shows and is a signature member of several watercolor societies. Annelein has traveled the world teaching art for a cruise line and has inspired people far and wide with her paint brush and pigments. She is most known for her colorful and bright paintings of florals, but also captures other subject matter, including landscapes, animals, portraits and more.
