Our planting service includes arranging the Dig Safe call, handling and installing the selected plants correctly, staking when needed, and a light application of fertilizer and mulch as needed. Before we arrive, let us know about access restrictions, stumps, rocky or clay soil, ledge, irrigation, lighting wires and other private underground services. These details help us plan the work. Watering after planting is essential and remains your responsibility. Planting labor and delivery are not covered by the plant guarantee.

Pick Up at the Nursery
Collect your plants at Horsford’s in Charlotte. Follow the pickup instructions for your order and contact us before making a special trip.
Local Delivery
Our nursery delivery team serves the Vermont and New York communities listed on our delivery rates page. The delivery fee depends on your destination and the number of trucks needed.
Delivery with planting
Have our team deliver and install the plants you select. Tell us which plants you want planted; other items in your order should not incur a planting charge.
We do not parcel-ship live plants. Shipping is available only for eligible seasonal Holiday Shop products, such as wreaths and centerpieces.
Understand the price before you get started.
Planting costs 50% of the regular retail price of each plant being installed, plus delivery. The planting calculation uses the normal plant price, even when the plant is on sale.
For example, a selected plant with a regular price of $200 has a planting fee of $100. A second plant you plan to plant yourself is not included. The applicable delivery fee is additional.
A delivery charge still applies when the plants are already on site and our team comes to install them. Additional work arising from site conditions is discussed in advance and charged on an hourly basis.
