In this one day course, you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of wood carving through the process of handcrafting a wooden spoon. We will take a deep dive into the whole process - from tree to spoon.  Starting with wood selection, processing rounds into blanks, and going over the basics of tool use, we will then embark on the journey of spoon design, carving, and finishing. 

All skill levels welcome.

Cost includes the use of tools, wooden spoon blanks, sandpaper, finishing oil and instruction!

 Alex has been working and teaching at Bread and Butter Farm since 2017.  He has been carving spoons and making shavings since 2012.
