Blockprinting Tea Towels

Event: Celebrate Fall: Block Printing Tea Towels

Prime autumnal colors will surround us at the gorgeous Horsford Garden & Nursery where this course will focus on Block Printing. Participants will go home with a pair of tea towels to dorn their kitchen this Fall after making their own carved & printed design.

Agenda: Starting with an overview of printmaking, we'll discuss the process of block printing and introduce materials. Participants will have the opportunity to design and carve their own linoleum block taking inspiration from surrounding foliage and florals. We'll use fabric inks to print onto white tea towels. 
Finished products will take 24 hours to dry, but will be able to be carefully taken home after 15 minutes of setting. 

The cost of the course includes use of provided materials.  Participants will take two printed towels home and their carved block.
