A tidy and handsome small tree that prefers moist soils but is fairly adaptable to a variety of conditions including urban sites. Often called musclewood because of its fluted bark which looks like a flexed muscle. This versatile native tree shows excellent fall color (orange to red). A great selection for bird habitat.
