After listening to a short overview of the history of bonsai, next, you will learn basic techniques and concepts in order to begin the creative journey of turning your small tree into a bonsai. Then, we get dirty, learning the intricacies of your unique tree and then transforming it into the beginning stages of a bonsai, which you will then nurture at home, hopefully for years to come!
Price of $90 includes bonsai stock plant, bonsai pot, bonsai soil and wiring. Pruning shears are available for use or purchase.

About the Instructor: Jeff Nottonson has been practicing the art of Bonsai since the late 1980’s. He appreciates the artistic and creative aspect of Bonsai and enjoys introducing this ancient art form to a new audience. This will be Jeff’s 6th year offering this workshop. Jeff is also an athlete, former Nordic ski coach, music professional and photographer. Jeff runs Whitford House B&B and Twin View Barn.
