Campsis radicans

Trumpet Vine

Ordering plants has concluded for the season. The selection on our website is what is overwintered at the nursery. Our Spring 2024 plant catalog will be available later this winter.

Vigorous growing vine which clings to, climbs, and covers just about anything it encounters. Trumpet shaped orange to scarlet flowers in midsummer are an absolute favorite of hummingbirds. Spectacular in bloom! Will grow well in shade but needs full sun to flower well. Blooms on new wood so it can be pruned at any time.  Tolerant of clay soils and deer won't bother it. Contact with various parts of this plant can cause a minor skin irritation for some people.
