Catalpa is an incredibly tough and adaptable tree but it is often overlooked due to its irregular and unpredictable growth. 'Heartland' is a marked improvement, offering more uniform branching, darker green foliage, and a narrow, upright habit. Tremendous flower power that is impossible to ignore when in full bloom and is of great value for pollinators. Large seed pods are persistent and create an interesting winter outline.
