A choice shrub, native to the mid Atlantic and south. Wonderfully fragrant, bottlebrush flowers emerge before leaves in early spring. Handsome and tidy foliage is dark blue-green in summer before changing over to brilliant shades of orange, red, and yellow in fall. Stays naturally shorter than 'Mt Airy' or Fothergilla major.
