Pasture rose is a vigorous native rose that can compete in the shrub border. Prolific bloom of single, bright pink flowers in late spring will attract a large diversity of pollinators but is of special importance to some of our native bee species. Ornamental rose hips are prominent in autumn and are eaten by birds and other wildlife. Relatively shade tolerant for a rose but best growth and flowering will occur in full sun.
