Ornamental white flower clusters followed by blue-black fruit. Foliage turns purple-red in fall. Nannyberry is an often tree-like shrub reaching 15+ feet in optimum growing conditions. A wonderful plant for the naturalized landscape and a favorite of migrating birds. The fruit is edible, but perhaps best made into jams and preserves.
