Finally, an inkberry that doesn't defoliate on its lower half! This compact selection of female inkberry has nice branching and small glossy leaves that are more resistant to winter burn, and less attractive to deer. It bursts out in white flowers in late spring, followed by glossy black drupes persisting into the wintertime (with a male pollinator). A highlight of the Arnold Arboretum, and sure to be a highlight year-round in your garden.
