Native to the southeastern states, hairy bush-honeysuckle is an adaptable shrub that performs well in sun or shade and many soil types. 'Kodiak Red' produces deep red new growth in the spring, which retains a reddish margin throughout summer, before turning a vivid bright red in fall. Clusters of small yellow flowers are produced during the summer as well.
