Reprieve from Chronic Pain: Exploring Watercolors

Event: Reprieve from Chronic Pain: Exploring Watercolors
Dates: Thursday July 23, Sunday September 13
Time: 10AM - 12PM

Artist Instructor: Tiffany Shaw
Cost: $55

This workshop is especially for those managing chronic pain to connect with others in a
nonjudgmental creative space. We will be inspired by the imperfection of the natural world, the
beauty of the nursery gardens, and each other to draw and paint what we see and feel.

Participants will be guided through a series of short icebreaker activities to loosen the inner critic
and prepare for flow—a state of relaxed, nonjudgmental creativity. You will learn basic
watercolor techniques and explore the dramatic effects of using resists such as salt and tape.

Materials provided. We will begin the workshop in the rustic antique barn at Horsford Nursery
and have a chance to roam the gardens for inspiration. Feel free to bring your favorite folding
chair to ensure your comfort.

Please note: This is a creative workshop focused on the joy of art-making and is not intended as
medical advice or treatment.
