This is the classic, tall Verbena bonariensis with purple flowers atop tall green stalks. It is an excellent scrim, providing wands of airy flowers in the front, middle, or back of a border or bed. This plant has multi-season interest as the summer flowers are popular with pollinators and the fall seeds are enjoyed by chickadees and goldfinches.
