Creative writing leads to the unexpected treasure of self-discovery.

All of us have a story. A personal narrative that rolls around in our heads. When was the last time you stopped & let the words tumble out? In this Vine~Lines Creative Wordshop, we will come together in the dynamic & inspired Horsford Gardens to bring your story to the page and reveal your unique voice.

Participants will be encouraged to write and if inclined, to share their work. The wordshops are open to all level of writers. Requirements include:  an open mind, a sense of adventure, & a cheeky sense of humor.

Local writer and Wind~Word Floating Salon creator Kelly Hedglin Bowen will lead this guided wordshop. Kelly is a satirical writer turned reluctant memoirist. Kelly has no natural pause and is therefore comma challenged. While earning an M.F.A. from Goddard College, she completed a memoir Mystic Trinities. When not reading and writing, she follows the seasons with her family ~ gardening, sailing, snowboarding, and hiking. Her essays have been shortlisted for the Pushcart Prize, and the Annie Dillard Award for Creative Nonfiction. Latest work can be found in Unruly Catholic Feminists, Creative Nonfiction Magazine and online at The Huffington Post.
