This native understory tree-like dogwood shrub with leaves rugose like a viburnum attracts pollinators to its classic creamy white panicles in June-July. By late summer, birds love to feed on the blueberry-like drupes. Turns burgundy in the fall, or yellowish depending on site conditions.
