Undoubtedly one of the first flowers in spring. Fragrant, clear yellow flowers unfurl on warm days as early as March and close up when temperatures drop to prolong the bloom time. Handsome foliage is disease resistant and displays very attractive fall coloration of yellow and orange. Does well in sun or partial shade. A very fine shrub that is just big enough to serve as a specimen plant in smaller landscapes.
