A very useful form of serviceberry which works great for hedging, or adding vertical interest in smaller landscapes. 'Obelisk', also known by its trademark name, Standing Ovation, stays uniform and dense as it gradually fills out to become a columnar oval in shape. White flowers in early spring are followed by tasty purple berries in summer. Fall color is orange to red and quite noticeable in the landscape.
