With a dark green color and a flat-topped spreading habit that builds up in horizontal layers, this attractive dwarf conifer is a favorite for good reason. Bright green color on new growth is appealing against the darker green of the previous years' growth. Often develops a slight depression in the middle as it ages, which is how it got its name.
