Witherod is a wonderfully adaptable native shrub that thrives in moist soils. It has creamy white flowers in June and attractive fruit that changes from green to pink to red to blue to black and often displays multiple colors at once. Clean, lustrous foliage during the summer, develops crimson and scarlet fall color. Great plant for naturalizing pond edges or foundation plantings. Late season food source for resident birds.
